Hi! Welcome to our store, Youthful Hands Needle Crafts! We're an online-only store, in business since 2005, and are available 24/7 for all your crafting needs. We pride ourselves in great customer service, quick shipping, and excellent, hard-to-find threads, fabrics, ribbons, and embellishments.

We live in Northwestern Connecticut, and are surrounded by the beauty of nature, from our many lakes and streams to our Appalachian Trail. We're early "empty nesters", and love to fill our time with hobbies. We enjoy hiking, gardening, and bird-watching. Teri, our buyer, "creative person" & customer service rep, has experience in counted cross stitch, crewel embroidery, needlepoint, macrame, beaded jewelry, bead weaving, and crocheting. She's trying her hand now at knitting and crazy quilting. She's also starting her own line of handpainted cotton, silk, Belfast, Cashel & Aida for needlecrafts and quilting (check our store for these soon!). Mark, our administrator and computer guy, is into alternate energy sources, taking up flying and working toward his private pilot's license.

Thread/Fabric Colorfastness:
New guidelines were recently passed discouraging the use of unsafe chemicals which made threads & fabrics colorfast.
Therefore, none of the products we sell could be considered 100% colorfast. Red, black, and other dark colors are especially prone to running! Each manufacturer has its own methods of laundering their product, and you should check out their websites for this information. A little research before beginning your project can make it a success!
